#1. WordPress Blog Site Visibility Option
WordPress is one of the best CMS. It has lots of option. If we see in point of SEO then you have to do it everything from your side only. In Admin panel under setting in reading section one option given Search Engine Visibility. try this must not be ticked mark.

The purpose of this option is to give you time to work on your website before it’s ready to go public. Once you unticked it. Don’t forget to save it
#2. SEO Friendly URL Structures in WordPress
In Setting>Permalink Setting if you open you will see many options are given to choose the URL structures. But the SEO loves is Post name structures.
Some examples of SEO friendly URLs are:
- https://www.ytechweb.com/increase-web-traffic-simple-steps/
Notice that these URLs are readable and a user can guess what they will see on the page just by looking at the URL text.
Google search engine loves small and posts name URL structures. Due to this Google understand it very easily about the post contents.
Changing the URL structures is only recommended for the new website. If you have website older than 6 months or an established website, then do not do or get the help of some professional expert support.
They will properly redirect the contents to avoid the Google ranking. But you will lose all the Social share counts.
#3. Nofollow Attribute For untrusted and useless links
Nofollow attribute for useless links and untrusted links or irrelevant link to make sure to the search engine that no need to crawl this URLs.
If you are advertising or putting some sponsor or paid links on your site then always use rel=”nofollow“. This will make the search engine to understand that no need to crawl the page.
Here is what Google says on this.
How does Google handle nofollowed links?
In general, we don’t follow them. This means that Google does not transfer PageRank or anchor text across these links. Essentially, using
nofollow
causes us to drop the target links from our overall graph of the web. However, the target pages may still appear in our index if other sites link to them without usingnofollow
, or if the URLs are submitted to Google in a Sitemap. Also, it’s important to note that other search engines may handlenofollow
in slightly different ways.
So if you are linking untrusted site then please go with rel=”nofollow“.
Ex. – <a href=”www.othersite.com” rel=”nofollow”>Other Site</a> this will stop the search engine spider web to make them understand.
#4. WWW vs non-WWW
This is very much important. once you setup the website and selected www or non-www then you can not change it. You select www or non-www Google won’t consider this for ranking purpose.
But search engines consider these to be two different websites, so this means you need to choose one and stick to it. You can find this setting under Settings » General page.
If you have any doubts in this comment below we will help you.
#5. Categories and Tags in WordPress
Categories and tags are the part of Blogging. Due to this user engagement increase and also it is very helpful in sorting the post based on category or Tags. Categories will make the user find everything under one table and it is helpful for everyone. In SEO aspects it too helpful.
Yoast SEO plugin (You will read about this below) gives an option to optimize the Category and Tags for index purpose. If you want you can stop also from indexing through Yoast SEO plugin.
Always use Category and tags properly so that user will understand what he will get where.
# 6. Full Posts vs Summaries or Excerpts
In WordPress, you have the option to show the post on the Homepage or on any other page. On same page setting one more option is given i.e. Full post or Summary.
This given indirect impact on SEO and it is highly recommended setting (You will find it under Setting>General.) which you need to setup.
By default, it shows the full article content on all these pages. This affects your site’s SEO, as search engines may find it to be duplicate content. Full articles also make your archive pages load slower which will impact on customer satisfaction.
Showing full articles everywhere also affects your page views. For example, users who subscribe to your RSS feed will be able to read the full article in their feed reader without ever visiting your website.
The easiest way to solve this is by showing summaries or excerpts instead of full articles.

Using Internal and External link help to boost the rank on SERP (search engine results page). Google or any other search engine assigns each page on your website a score (page authority). How it was assign and on which factors it is secret, no one can game on this. But it is almost confirmed that search engine does assign Page authority on the base of authority link.
This is why it’s important that you link to your own content from your other blog posts and pages.
If you link your own contents from the same website then it will be called as the Internal link. Other website link called as the external link.
